This week Kent County Council has received reports from Kent Police that cold callers are impersonating HMRC and presenting fake ID badges.

They state you owe money to HMRC and try to get you to pay in person or via a telephone number.

If you’re concerned about someone calling at your home, do not open your door or engage with anyone impersonating HMRC because they do not conduct home visits.
